The Central Chinese City of Sanmenxia is renowned for its white swans, hence the city’s nickname – a city of white swans. These birds from Siberia come to the central Chinese city every October to escape the cold winter. To make sure these birds live comfortably there, the Sanmenxia Yellow River Wetland provides food and a safe living environment. 5,000 white swans have been found in the city as of 2018.
